Willa — Privacy Policy

Willa is a private, ad-free pregnancy and baby tracker made by AuraTech Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We built Willa to keep your data with you — most of it never leaves your phone.

The short version

• Your logs and photos are stored on your device first.
• We show no ads and never sell your data. There are no advertising SDKs in Willa.
• Data only leaves your device if you turn on a household account (to sync text logs) or Willa+ cloud photo backup.
• You can export everything, or delete your cloud data, at any time.

Information we process

• Information you enter: pregnancy and baby tracking data — due dates, weeks, symptoms, mood, weight, feeds, diapers, sleep, pumping, growth measurements, milestones, vaccinations, appointments, notes, and photos you add. Some of this is health-related and sensitive; we treat it accordingly.
• Account information (optional): if you create a shared household account, we process your email address and an encrypted password to authenticate you.
• Anonymous usage analytics (optional, off by default): if you switch it on in Privacy settings, we collect privacy-respecting, aggregated usage information. It contains no advertising identifiers and no ad networks.
• Purchase information: if you subscribe to Willa+, the purchase is handled by Google Play and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive subscription status, not your card details.

How your data is stored and shared

• On device: Willa is local-first. Your tracking data lives in a database on your phone and works fully offline.
• Household sync (optional): if you sign in, your text logs sync through your private household account so a co-parent can see the same data. Sync and authentication are provided by Supabase (our data processor). Data is isolated per household by row-level security.
• Cloud photo backup (optional, Willa+): photos are uploaded to a private, access-controlled bucket (Supabase Storage) that only members of your household can read. Your device copies are never altered.
• We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Where data is processed

Our sync and storage infrastructure (Supabase) currently processes data in the Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) region. By using the household account you consent to this processing.

Data about your baby

Willa is designed for parents and caregivers (adults). Information about your baby is entered by you, the parent or guardian, and is treated with the same care and protections as your own data. Willa is not directed to children.

Your choices and rights

• Export: export all your data as a file from Storage & backup.
• Delete cloud data: remove your backed-up photos from the cloud at any time — your device copies are kept.
• Delete your account / tracking: available in-app; contact us to erase any remaining server-side data.
• Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent.

Retention

We keep synced data for as long as your household account is active. If Willa+ ends, cloud photos are kept for a 60-day grace period and then removed; your on-device copies are never deleted by us. Deleting your account removes your server-side data.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Access to household data is enforced by authentication and row-level security so one household can never read another's. No method is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Willa provides information and tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your midwife, doctor, or a qualified clinician.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted here with a new "last updated" date.
